Meet Dana Jay, LCPC
Therapist, EMDR Practitioner, and Partner in Your Healing Journey
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over six years of experience helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and life transitions.
I believe therapy should be a space where you can exhale—where you don't have to hold everything together, have all the answers, or carry it all alone. My style is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I'll meet you where you are, helping you explore difficult experiences at a pace that feels safe while supporting you in building practical tools for lasting growth.
My role is not to tell you who to become. My role is to help you uncover the resilience, wisdom, and confidence that already exist within you.
People often come to me when:
There is a sense of being stuck in patterns that are understood logically but difficult to shift.
There may be anxiety, overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, disconnection, or frustration due to a lack of lasting change. Some have been through therapy before and understand their story yet still feel stuck—like insight has not fully translated into lived experience.
There may be a history of trauma, loss, or long-standing stress that shows up as difficulty relaxing, emotional ups and downs, or physical tension and exhaustion.
At the same time, there is often a desire to feel more grounded, present, and connected—to self and others—and to move through life with greater confidence and ease.
Many people arrive here when they are ready for something that goes beyond insight alone.
By integrating EMDR and somatic therapy, I support clients in processing difficult experiences while working with nervous system regulation. This approach recognizes that healing involves both mind and body, creating space for meaningful and lasting change.
Together, we explore the experiences that have shaped you—not to dwell on the past, but to better understand the patterns that may still be influencing your present.
As this understanding develops, self-compassion often becomes more accessible, allowing you to relate to yourself with greater curiosity, kindness, and confidence.
Over time, clients often notice increased emotional flexibility, a stronger sense of internal grounding, and a deeper connection to their own resilience.
